We're getting there.

The BBoard code is a bit of a mess - I need to re-write it. The original author didn't use CSS much when he 1st wrote it, and the newer code he wrote isn't a quantum leap forward.

Need to implement a faster search on the BBoard, too, along with moving the database and search indexer to another machine so the response is better between 11 PM EST to 2 AM EST (-0600 UTC is the conversion).

Along with getting more bandwidth - the current connection is starting to saturate 3-4 times a day, and we're moving close to 40Gb/month just in clarinet-related stuff (not including full snapshots of everything every 4 hours - I have a near duplicate of the main computer in a location 1200 miles away) - most companies would die for that kind of usage and hits nowadays.

Along with replacing the machines with more powerful versions.

Along with raising some money - I plowed about 6K USD into the system last year, and I was unemployed for 6 months during that time. I'm webmaster of a few paying sites and use some of that money along with the funds I raised over a year back to keep things chugging, but the bank account is running thin again.

Look for a fund-raiser again soon ... I'll be looking to build 2 rack-mounted dual CPU systems and co-locating them in a better connected environment. My company will be doing some work for a company that co-locates computers soon, and I can hopefully cajole the owners into cutting me a discount on 3u worth of well-connected rack space (2u for 2 computers, 1u for my ethernet-connected power strip...) I'll have some really nice gifts, too, that I can get for near cost from a friendly company, along with pledges via credit card this time to make giving "less painful".

Someday I'll be independently wealthy and won't have to beg ...
