Hello first of all to Ron B. Yes, I am up and about and feeling a bit perkier than I was a few weeks ago. I saw my "regular" doc and asked why I was feeling so lousy. He assured me that feeling like I did after a heart procedure was quite normal. However, if I didn't feel like my old self in a few more weeks to let him know.
Thankfully Spring is slowly moving into the Upper Midwest. Seeing the sun again does help. I have not however touched my clarinets for almost a month now. I opted not to play in our local symphony's children's concert. I only play on one piece and decided to hand it off to someone else. My husband and I are taking a two week vaction next month to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversay and I was also going to miss two rehearsals. Many of our members think nothing of missing rehearsals, and that in my opinion is wrong of them.
The bruises are gone, finally. I still have a tender spot under my collarbone where they threaded one of the catheters into my heart. The bill for all of this? Twenty thousand dollars. I did the math on the tylenol they gave me in the hospital. The markup on them was 53 times. Wish we could all make that kind of profit.
I was looking to get a small heart shaped tattoo over the spot I just spoke of. Saw one that is perfect. It is a heart with a dollar sign on it.
Thanks again to all of you who sent me greetings.
Happy St. Patrick's Day,
Jean
