 R13 variation

Anyone familiar with the R13 conservetoire? Has the word "conservetoire" embossed below the logo on the upper joint. I just got one from an eBay auction in fantastic, near mint condition. 200,000 range serial number.

A friend who is a clarinet repair technician told me he had seen just one other like this ever and he thought it was a specially designed R13 that was intended at the time to compete against the freer blowing Selmer Series 10 or something.

Any info about this model clarinet? I tried it out last night in orchestra rehearsal and it was great. I have been playing on a Yamaha 72 in silverplate. Don't know which I prefer yet. Both great horns.
