Recently did Artie Shaw concerto with community band, before that Mozart concerto with amateur orchestra. The point is I can play fairly well if I have to :). I enjoy playing for fun.... but you have to play well for it to be fun! Especially enjoy small groups where everyone can hear everything all the time. I also want to learn to improvise in jazz and blues since I feel I am a cripple without sheet music and I don't like that feeling. So that's it...an OK but not great player looking for something from baroque to swing to jazz to contemporary to play!!

Llevo mas menos 1 año y medio de estudio con este instrumento con el profesor Cristian Varas, el cual he aprendido mucho, pero necesito saber en que lugar de mi ciudad hay un profesor que sepa muy bien del clarinete, esto no quiere decir que mi profesor no sepa, si no que hay profesores que saben o sea son mas expertos en este tipo de instrumentos, me gustaría pedirles las digitaciones del clarinete, en color si esque puede, este clarinete me lo regaló mi abuelo desde los estados unidos, es marca firstact( se usa con una caña de madera etc.)

School from 1984-1988. My undergraduate college associate professor at USF from
2004-2008 was Brian Moorhead, principal clarinetist of the Florida Orchestra.
Currently I am studying with Dr Theodore DeCorso of UT who has a Master's Degree in
Clarinet Performance from the Julliard School and a Ph.D. in Music from the
University of Connecticut. He has appeared in solo and chamber recitals throughout
the US and Europe including recitals at the International Clarinet Congress in
London and Seattle and in Carnegie Recital Hall in New York. He was clarinet
concerto soloist with the Arctic Chamber Orchestra on tour in the People's Republic
of China and was the soprano saxophonist for the sound track of "Make Prayers to the
Raven," a PBS TV documentary which was broadcast worldwide.
In addition, I perform with the Suncoast Symphony Orchestra as 2nd Clarinetist and
I substitute for the Tampabay Symphony Orchestra on Bass clarinet (low C). I am

Comments: A Native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, clarinetist Mibzar Vazquez studied with George Morales and Kathleen Jones before entering the University Of North Texas College Of Music. Mr. Vazquez is a scholarship recipient at UNT and holds a bachelor of music in clarinet performance with Magna Cum Laude distinction.
Mr. Vazquez is currently working on his Masters Degree in clarinet performance with Dr. John C. Scott at University of North Texas. He also studied privately with Andrew Crisanti, and currently with Ana Victoria Luperi in Fort Worth, Texas.
Mibzar has participated in several master classes with distinguished performers including Mitchell Lurie, Ricardo Morales, Gregory Raden, Fred Ormand and Richard Hawkins.
Mr. Vazquez attended different music festivals such as Aspen Music Festival, Pierre Monteux School for conductors, Festival and Youth Symphony Orchestra Festival of the Americas and Marrowstone Summer Music Festival. As an active recitalist, he has performed at Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music, Antonio Paoli School of Music in Caguas Puerto Rico, University of Puerto Rico, Inter American University of Puerto Rico and University of North Texas among others.
His chamber music affiliations include Meridian Chamber Players and the Animato Woodwind Quintet.
Mr. Vazquez performs in the North Texas Wind Symphony and is featured in several recordings for the Klavier label and GIA educational recording projects. Additionally, Mibzar is the principal clarinet performs in the North Texas Symphony Orchestra.
Mibzar is an active freelance clarinetist at the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
