Good morning,
I would to reshape a barrel shrinking his bore.
Exist any material like wax-similar or any method to fix it?

Thank you.

If it were me I'd either sleeve it or plug it and rebore. I.e bore it out oversize and then bond in a sleeve or a solid rod of good wood and rebore to your preferred size.

You could bore it out and use either a wood plug turned from a suitable piece of timber or alternatively a length of Delrin rod. Then rebore and ream to suit. Fix the wood or delrin plug with a good epoxy such as full strength Araldite. If you use Delrin it's a good idea to put some sort of knurling or rough sanding on the outside to give a good mechanical bond.

Sorry. I made an incorrect assumption. As working on the bore of a barrel is usually considered a precision thing I thought that maybe you possessed wood turning tools. In the absence of these I'm afraid my suggestions are not practical. I'm sure there will be more suitable suggestions from others on this forum. Good luck.
p.s. Love Montalbano, especially the music with the opening credits

If bore has shrunk and needs reforming then it can only sensibly be done with a reamer (or reamers) of the correct shape and size.

It is vital that the bore in the barrel is concentric with the top joint bore so if you do not have the correct tools / machines / skills then it is a job for a professional.
