The two McI patents I have, US 2,887,001 and 3,015,981 [this one describes the UJ keying, Laur] which seems to match what I can discern from the pics. From a quick look at the pat, not having the horn, it appears that G#/Ab is obtained by the ring activated by the 3rd finger left hand, A is obtained by both 3rd and 2nd fingers, and Bb by 2nd and 1st [maybe 3rd also!] with the thumb open. The mechanisms to do all this are complex, but are shown in Fig. 25 of the pat. [if the commercialized version is the same as the pat!!!] . They [Thomas and Robert] brag about a large tone hole to give a clean Bb. This may be more than anyone wishes to know, but there is more to be said.
