Did you know of the blatant gender discrimination policies of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra or Munich Philharmonic? I was shocked to read this article about the Munich Philharmonic, and the VPO has only let one token woman into the orchestra (you can check on the VPO status here) under extreme pressure. I will not be attending any of their concerts or buying any of their CDs until the VPO and Munich Philharmonic repudiate their public statements.
